The Leaning Tower

According to the legend, this medieval fortified tower was built by a Teutonic knight from Toruń as a penance for committed sins. The building, with a vertical deviation of about 1,5m, was a part of old Toruń’s fortifications. After it ceased to play a defensive role, it served as a prison, and later as a smithy. Now it is an important point of every sightseeing trip.
