Muzykofilia Festival

"Korzenie Kultury" is a young foundation from Toruń that was established in September 2017.
The concept of establishing a foundation popularizing the broadly understood cultural heritage was born many years ago. Today we present our interdisciplinary "child-work": "Roots of Culture". With our activities, we want to pay tribute to the cultural heritage, both material and non-material, and to study the complex phenomenon of culture, tradition and creativity.
The main goal, which is the axis of the foundation's activities, is to conduct cultural, educational, pro-health, pro-social and pro-ecological activities. Our mission is to undertake activities supporting the development of culture, art, tourism, protection of cultural goods and national heritage, as well as protection of health and the environment.

The most outstanding and original instrumentalists from Poland, creating broadly understood contemporary music, are presented during the Musicophilia Festival.
The main stimulus for the implementation of the Festival was provided by the outstanding artistic personality of Zdzisław Piernik, who was associated with Toruń in the past - an innovative tuba player, a master of contemporary symphonic music, and a luminary of the Polish musical avant-garde.

The festival takes place at the end of May.
