The New Town Market

The second of Toruń markets is a main square in the old craftsmen’ part of the town. In its centre there is a 19^th century former evangelical church. One of the most interesting buildings on the New Market is the building of the pharmacy “Pod Złotym Lwem” (Golden Lion), where, under a classicist form gothic walls are hidden. In one of baroque tenements there is an inn from 1489 called “Pod Modrym Fartuchem”. On the other hand, nowadays in a former inn of “Bractwo Czeladzi Murarskiej” (Bricklayers Guild) there is a thriving Children’s Creative Art Centre and Gallery.
