On the 13th August 1746 a master-carpenter Johann Georg Hieronim and the wife of the city soldier Kataharina Storchin certified in the town’s administrative office in Toruń that in spring 1746 they saw a dragon. The creature could fly and swim, was 2 metres long, had dark-grey head and trunk and a light-brown and shiny tail.
