Description:

175 steps lead to the top of the Town Hall Tower and the view from there is magnificent. From the terrace located at the height of 40 metres we can admire the extensive city panorama with its most important monuments and the Vistula river crossing nearby. Being up there allows to see clearly the urban system of Toruń Old Town, which is perfectly preserved up to today.
The tower holds two bells from the eighteenth century – an hour one and a quarter one – they are parts of the clock which shows time towards four cardinal directions. Originally, the tower was crowned with a pointy helmet with a gold crown on its top but it burnt down in 1703 during the Swedish siege.
